Nikiah/ Bone Woman:Greetings!
My name is Nikiah, {Pronounced Nik-eye-ah} My ancestors made their way here to Canada via Romania, Ireland and Scotland three generations ago, and it is a gift to live on the unceded Indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. My calling lays in deep shadow work, and the liminal space between this world and the spirit world, and in ancient times many of my lineage ancestors would have called me a Volva. My goal is to support those who are called to walk into these spaces with me, and who are committed to picking up their medicine and diving into their own healing journeys. I am deeply inspired by the strength and wisdom of those who come to work with me, and it is within this inspiration that I hold space for others as they follow their own inner wisdom. My ability to hold strong space for others comes from years of working with woman and their families in the most tender of times during childbirth and in the creation of ceremonies for all sorts of transitions, from births and deaths to weddings and rites of passages of all kinds. My gifts lay in the support of crossing thresholds and in the required transitions that life brings us. I currently live on the west coast of Canada with my husband, two children, several thousand sweet honey bees and a cat named Solstice. For the past 20 years I have been following my soul song down many different holistic pathways, each one of them leading me to my soul's purpose and calling. A little more.... |
